Products Main Uses
Manganese silicon is mainly used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking, its function is to eliminate excess oxygen and sulfur in molten steel, in order to improve the quality and performance of steel. Adding some elements with stronger binding force with oxygen in steelmaking than iron, and their oxides are easily discharged from the molten steel in the form of slag to remove oxygen from the steel. This process is called deoxidation.
