Stannum is a kind of metal element, it is a kind of slightly bluish white glossy low-melting metal element, which is divalent or tetravalent in the compound, it can not be oxidized by air, and exists mainly in the form of dioxide (cassiterite) and partially in various sulfides (such as sulfur cassiterite) form.
